Let me begin by saying three things -

#1) I am not a doctor or a nutritionist.  This means I really don't know what the hell I am talking about.  I think what I'm doing is good, but what the hell do I know.

#2) I love chocolate milk.  Yes I am 38 years old, what does that have to do with anything?

#3) I HATE skim milk.  When I tried it years ago it tasted like water.  It was vile, just terrible.  People have been telling me it's better now, but I refused to try it again.

All this being said, I tried Farmland Skim Plus Chocolate Milk.  Now I know I need protein and I can't drink any sodas.  I have to be careful about caffeine so I have been avoiding ice tea.  How much crystal light can you drink (the cherry/pomegranate juice one rocks, BTW).   I'd been having Hersey's Reduced Fat Chocolate Milk, which I knew wasn't great for me but whatever.   I drank it as a treat, limiting myself to one bottle every few days.

Then I looked at the Skim Plus stuff.  It has zero grams of fat and 11 grams of protein, fewer calories than the Hersey's stuff too, almost by half.  So I tried one, expecting to choke it down and never drink it again.  I was floored, it tasted wonderful.  It was better for me and tasted better.   It was nothing like I remembered skim milk to taste like.

Yes, I know there are other Protein drinks out there...but please go back to my opening statement #2.  I LOVE chocolate milk.  I know Sophia may post within moments of my putting this up telling everyone why I am wrong and why we shouldn't drink this, but like I said in statement #1, what the hell do I know.

If your looking for something to drink that tastes good, has protein and isn't carbonated, you could do worse.

Hey Oscar,
Well sophie didnt post it but i will...  I think the skim milk chocolate milk sounds pretty good...  Lots of protein, 0 fat...  you didn't post the carbs, but if its low in carbs than i would recommend it also...  One thing that I do enjoy seeing, is people discovering labels and finding out what they are actually putting in their bodies, and going to the stuff that is healthier.  Im sure you probably wouldnt have noticed the label or what was in the chocolate milk prior to surgery.
