another insurance question

Dr.Buchin, one of the techs that works with me was wondering if his health care covers this kind of procedure. The union staff have a different health provider. He has Magnacare. Any infomation would be of great help. I think he's watching what happens to me and deciding.
Thanks

The best way to check is to call your insurance company / benefits department. The number is usually on your insurance card. Ask them if you have bariatric surgery as a covered benefit. The answer is usually yes or no. Yes means your insurance will cover the surgery if you qualify and no means even if you qualify they wont pay for it.
Hope this helps.
