Dr. Andrew Godwin is a Bariatric Surgery Specialist, board-certified in General Surgery (such as appendicitis, hernia and other complicated abdominal pathology). Dr. Godwin joined Long Island Obesity Surgery in 2018, after finishing his residency training at New York's largest healthcare system, Northwell Health, and completing a fellowship in Bariatric, Minimally Invasive and Advanced GI procedures at Lenox Hill Hospital.
As a member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), he remains ahead of the curve on all aspects of General and Bariatric surgery. Dr. Godwin is also trained and certified on the da Vinci surgical system, allowing him to perform complex procedures using a minimally invasive approach.
